Homer-Center Pre-K Teaching Staff

Ms. Tricia is the head teacher of our Homer-Center Pre-K classroom! She is from a small town in Canada. She moved to Pennsylvania in the summer of 2016 after she married her husband. They have one daughter, Marion, and two fur babies: Maple (her energetic golden retriever) and Moon (her very large and very chill orange cat.) Ms. Tricia says, "I have always been passionate about helping children grow, learn, and discover the world around them. I have two degrees in Elementary Education. I have worked in daycares, been in classrooms, and have been a nanny for two very amazing kids. I am so excited to be working in the Homer-Center Pre-K classroom. I am so excited to learn and grow alongside your littles! The Pre-K years are so much fun. They are full of curiosity, creativity, and big milestones. I am so honored to be part of this stage in your child’s journey. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the kids and what makes them shine!"

Miss Jeannette graduated from IUP in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development and Family Relations. She began her career with Indi Kids at the University Children's Center in the preschool program. After a number of years she went on to work in the School-Age program. Now Miss Jeanette is the Assistant teacher in our Pre-K Counts classroom. Jeannette has been a part of the Indi Kids staff for 20 years and during that time, has enjoyed watching the children learn and grow...no matter their age. In her spare time, is a 4-H volunteer with the Northern Livestock Club. She is also an active member of the Clymer Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. 

Ms. Sue is one of the co-head teachers of our preschool classroom: Caring and Sharing. Sue began her career with Indi Kids in 1986 earning her Child Development associate's degree that same year. Sue is a dedicated teacher and does her best to pay attention to the smallest of details. Her goal is to make sure that the children's experiences throughout the day are not only full of teachable moments but are fun as well. As a child, Sue grew up in Bedford County and was one of 7 children. Family has always been important to her but never more so than when she married her husband Don and was blessed with the arrival of her daughter, Cierra. She can now proudly say she is blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Gabriella. Her association with Indi Kids has been filled with many rewarding experiences. We are so happy to have Ms. Sue as part of our Indi Kids family and to watch her continue to grow as a teacher each year. We are proud to say Ms. Sue has been with us for the last 40 years!​
