CARING AND SHARING TEACHING STAFF
Sue Trindle, Nell Webb and Jessie Kelly
Sue Trindle is one of the co-head teachers of the Caring and sharing Classroom (formerly the Rainbows). Sue began her career with Indi Kids in 1986 earning her Child Development Associates Degree that same year. Sue is a dedicated teacher and does her best to pay attention to the smallest details. Her goal is to make sure that the children's experiences throughout the day are not only full of teachable moments but are fun as well. As a child Sue grew up in Bedford County and was one of 9 children. Family has always been important to her but never more so than when she married her husband Don and was blessed with the arrival of daughter Cierra. Her association with Indi Kids has been filled with many rewarding experiences.
Jessie Kelly comes from a small town outside of Clearfield, Pa. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in May 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies and a minor in Psychology. During her last semester of college she was a student worker here Indi Kids. At the same time, she was student teaching in the 4 and 5 year old classroom, previously known as the Rainbows. In August 2013, Jessie came on staff assuming the assistant teacher position in the Rainbow classroom. In October 2014, she became the head teacher in the 3 year old room. Jessie now works as co-head teacher along with Sue Trindle in the Caring and Sharing Classroom.
Nell Webb has been a member of the Indi Kids staff since 1972, being employed as a teacher's aide and substitute teacher. Nell carries the distinction of being the first African-American hired by our agency. In 2011 she earned her Child Development Associates Degree. While she spent much of my time at Indi Kids with the before and after school program, since 2013 she has been the early morning teacher in the Caring and Sharing classroom (formerly the Rainbows), greeting our earliest arrivals with a warm smile and a "How are you this morning?" She has been active in the local community as well, serving on the executive boards of the NAACP, The Chevy Case Community Center, the advisory committee of the IUP African American Cultural Center as well as the Penn State Extension board. Nell has also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and she is an active member of the Faith Temple Church of Christ in Indiana.
