Dress Guidelines for All Staff and Students Teachers

1. Wear comfortable shoes appropriate for active supervision of children.  No flip flops or loose sandals.  If you wear sandals while inside, bring appropriate shoes for outdoor activities.

2. Bring seasonal appropriate clothing and outerwear. In the winter, it is cold and you may be outside.

3. No revealing clothing. Remember the 3 B’s – no breasts, no bottoms, no bellies.   If we can see down it, or up it, or through it – you can’t wear it to work. Anything that reveals undergarments or lack thereof when bending or reaching is inappropriate.

4. No clothing with negative logos or advertisements (this includes questionable quotations).

5. Jeans are fine – but no cuts or holes.

6.Just as long dresses can be hazardous when running you should also refrain from wearing shorts or skirts that are shorter than 3 inches above the knee etc.

7. Wear jewelry at your own risk.

8. If you are a smoker or live with one, please make sure you do not smell like smoke when coming to work. Refrain from using from using heavy colognes.

9. Your supervising teacher retains the right to send you home or cover you up if you are not dressed appropriately.

10. You may leave extra clothing and gym shoes, etc. in lockers located the bathrooms at either end of the hall if you wish to change. You must provide your own lock!

REMEMBER: IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT ABOUT SOMETHING THAT YOU PLAN TO WEAR, IT IS PROBABLY NOT APPROPRIATE!
