CARING AND SHARING TEACHING STAFF
Sue Trindle, Tasha Huey, and Nell Webb
Ms Sue is one of the co-head teachers of our preschool classroom: Caring and Sharing. Sue began her career with Indi Kids in 1986 earning her Child Development associate's degree that same year. Sue is a dedicated teacher and does her best to pay attention to the smallest of details. Her goal is to make sure that the children's experiences throughout the day are not only full of teachable moments but are fun as well. As a child, Sue grew up in Bedford County and was one of 7 children. Family has always been important to her but never more so than when she married her husband Don and was blessed with the arrival of her daughter, Cierra. She can now proudly say she is blessed with a beautiful granddaughter, Gabriella. Her association with Indi Kids has been filled with many rewarding experiences. We are so happy to have Ms. Sue as part of our Indi Kids family and to watch her continue to grow as a teacher each year. We are proud to say Ms. Sue has been with us for the last 38 years!
Ms Tasha is a co-head teacher in the Caring and Sharing Classroom. Tasha has been a member of the Indi Kids team since 2017. Tasha absolutely loves working with the preschool children in Caring and Sharing. Helping the children grow and learn gives Tasha a feeling of fulfillment. Tasha graduated from Pennsylvania Highlands Community College in 2016 with her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Outside of Indi Kids, Tasha enjoys painting and reading. Tasha also enjoys spending time with her husband, Shyene.
Miss Nell has been a member of the Indi Kids staff since 1972, being employed as a teacher's aide and substitute teacher. Nell carries the distinction of being the first African-American hired by our agency. In 2011 she earned her Child Development Associates Degree. She spent much of her time at Indi Kids with the Before and After School Program, since 2013. Now you can find Miss Nell in our Caring and Sharing classroom as our early morning teacher, greeting our earliest arrivals with a warm smile and a, "How are you this morning?" She has been active in the local community as well, serving on the executive boards of the NAACP, the Chevy Case Community Center, the Advisory Committee of the IUP African American Cultural Center, as well as the Penn State Extension Board. Miss Nell has also served as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and she is an active member of the Faith Temple Church of Christ in Indiana.
